Graveyards have always held a huge attraction for me. Not a morbid one.

They seem to put things into perspective. 

I love taking photographs and research the stories behind the graves. There are always stories to be found.

Graveyards are often immensely beautiful and utterly peaceful.

I have started writing about the graveyards in Scotland, but I have quickly realized that there are so many other graveyards out there worth writing about.

I live both in Scotland and in Germany and work as a journalist and author.

This is the German side of my passion for graveyards.
